Alakapuri Waterfalls

Visit this less-explored destination for its hills, valleys, forests, streams and mist

A well-maintained road with a parking lot brings you to the starting point followed by another 10 minute walk to the waterfalls - a 200ft long cascade situated in the lower areas of the Western Ghats. At 4000ft above sea level, the origin of the falls is in forests of Karnataka. Set against a backdrop of evergreen hills and valleys, the falls has three phases with Alakapuri being the second. A dip in the falls is worth it. Alakapuri waterfalls is adjacent to Sasipara viewpoint.
